With the introduction of Open Access by CITC, ITC (Integrated Telecom Company) is now able to reach all their consumer customers across the Kingdom over FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home). The goal of the Open Access initiative is to improve competition, as it includes an agreement between operators to allow consumers to choose any ISP for broadband Internet services on top of the existing fiber provider. As of July 1st, ITC offers various internet speeds over Open Access including 100 Mbps, 240 Mbps, and 500 Mbps.
ITC always believes in “Customer first”. ITC CEO Eng. Osama Al-Dosary stated: “This (Open Access) initiative is a great national achievement, thanks to the tremendous efforts of CITC over the past year. We will continue working with CITC to further streamline customer experience over Open Access.
Moreover, we will continue our unwavering commitment to support and enable CITC initiatives that enhance competitiveness and improve customer choice and experience”.
ITC is currently ranked by CITC as the best telecom company in Saudi Arabia by the least rate of escalated complaints, according to the recent Index of Telecommunications Service Providers Classification issued by CITC (Jun 29th https://www.citc.gov.sa/ar/mediacenter/pressreleases/Pages/2020062901.aspx).
