01
What is the Salam Freelancer Package?

It is a single subscription built for licensed Saudi freelancers. It combines unlimited local calls and data, an extra data SIM, a 5G MyFi router, your own online store powered by ZID, and business payment services from Hala — a business account with an IBAN, a Mada card, and Soft POS so you can accept card payments on your phone.

02
Who can subscribe?

Saudi citizens who hold a valid Freelance Work Document (freelance licence) issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD).

03
I don't have a freelance licence yet. Can I still get the package?

Yes — first obtain your licence through the official Freelance Platform (freelance.sa). It is free and typically issued electronically within minutes. Once issued, return and complete your subscription; if you started online, your saved order will be waiting.

04
How does Salam check my licence?

When you apply, Salam verifies your Freelance Work Document directly with the Freelance Platform through a secure government integration. Activation happens only after successful verification. We store the verification result, not your full document.

05
What happens if my licence expires while I'm subscribed?

We will notify you and give you the opportunity to renew it through the Freelance Platform. If it remains expired, suspended or cancelled, your Package may be suspended until your eligibility is restored.

06
Who provides the bank account and the card?

Hala — a licensed Saudi fintech — provides the business account, IBAN, mada card and Soft POS. Salam is not a bank and does not hold your money. Hala will complete its own identity verification (KYC) before opening your account.

07
Who provides the online store?

ZID, a leading Saudi e-commerce platform. Your store is included in the Package — you can build your catalogue, take orders, and arrange delivery, with no separate ZID subscription fee.

08
How much does the package cost?

SAR 470 per month. The package is priced as one bundle; unused components cannot be exchanged for a discount.

09
Is there a commitment period?

Yes — 12 months, because a subsidised 5G MyFi router is included. If you cancel early, an early-termination amount linked to the device subsidy applies. The exact amount is shown before you subscribe and before any cancellation is processed.

10
Is “unlimited” really unlimited?

Unlimited calls and data are for an individual freelancer's legitimate business and personal use, under our published Fair Use Policy. Reselling connectivity or industrial-scale usage is not permitted.

11
Can I have more than one Freelancer Package?

No — one active Package per verified national ID.

12
What happens to my store and bank account if I cancel?

Your bundled ZID subscription ends with the Package. Whether you keep your store or your Hala account after that is between you and ZID or Hala, on their standard terms.

13
My ZID store or Hala account has a problem. Who do I call?

Contact Salam first — through the mysalam app, salam.sa or Salam customer care. We provide first-line support and coordinate directly with ZID and Hala on your behalf, and we keep ownership of your ticket until it is resolved.

14
How is my personal data used?

Only as needed to run the Package: verifying your licence with the Freelance Platform, provisioning your ZID and Hala services, and — only if you apply — processing your financing application. Details are in the Salam Privacy Policy at salam.sa/privacy.
